Gaylord E-Free, as it is known, is a sister church to others within the Evangelical Free Church of America. The "Free" church is a collection of over 1,200 congregations within the United State and part of a larger international confederation of churches. The term "Free" speaks of local church being self-governing rather than being under the authority of a larger denomination.
